Noela’s career as an artist and teacher spans the past 40 years. Her solo and collaborative exhibitions, workshops and residencies have taken place in Australia, Japan and China.
Her printmaking works are usually monotypes - abstracted interpretations of ideas and images based on daily life, landscape, and ancient culture. Using the design principals of line and texture, she tries to reflect the earthy, simple, honest and noble concepts of ‘wabi sabi' [Zen Buddhism].
She has received many awards and grants over the years and was invited to exhibit in the ‘Regional Print’ exhibition, USC gallery 2016, and the Kyoto Hanga [Caloundra regional Gallery] exhibition in 2019. She is represented in private and public collections worldwide.
